Spear (formerly known as SpMS Spear or The Spear Wealth Management Survey ), founded in 2006 by William Cash, is a bi-monthly British magazine for high-value individuals and those engaged in the financial services industry. It has been called "The Bible of Banking Fraternity" by GQ and "European rivals to Forbes " by The Evening Standard . Its customers include more than 30,000 decision makers in Europe and rich. William Cash, Chief Editor of Spear's , has twice won the Editor of the Year at the PPA Awards (2007 and 2008). Spear's is published by Progressive Digital Media. The launch in 2006 included the publications of The Independent The Guardian , Luxist and The Times .

History
William Cash, a magazine writer who is also an overseas correspondent for The Times and The Daily Telegraph, is the publisher of Annabel's Magazine's contract in 2005, when they published the trial edition of Spear as a supplement. At that time there was competition for advertising from the "fashion house and luxury brand" that became the basis of the magazine. Cash launched the Spear Wealth Management Survey in April 2006 with a target audience of "30,000 of the richest, most successful and influential people in the UK: from the Rich Listers to the royal family; hedge fund managers for entrepreneur, oligarchy to the internet mogul, cabinet minister for Sir Alex Ferguson. "(Cash 2007) In February 2003, Cash married Ilaria Bulgari, whose father was vice chairman of Bulgari, the third largest jewelry company in the world. They divorced in 2007 and Cash sold 67% of the magazine's shares for a seven-figure deal. Then in 2009 he bought back his stake (Cash 2009) Cash is the owner of Upton Cressett Hall, a 16th century Tudor castle in Shropshire. Journalist Alec Marsh was appointed editor of Spear's in January 2017.
