Lego Harry Potter is the Lego theme based on the Harry Potter series . The Lego model of important scenes, vehicles and characters made for the first six films and all the books released. The first set appeared in 2001, coinciding with the release of the first film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States). The next set was released alongside new movies, until Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The line is then inactive for three years, with sets released in 2010 and 2011. In 2018 it was announced that more sets based on the Harry Potter franchise will be released, including sets based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and its sequel, Fantastic Beast: Grindelwald's crime.

In January 2004, owner and CEO Lego Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen announced a change of direction for the company, which at the time was facing a 1.4 billion loss DKK, and that the company would focus on core products and not "big IP related movies like Harry Potter". A week later, the company explained that this does not mean "radical change" soon, and that the Harry Potter theme will continue. However, the theme was discontinued after 2007 for a while.
In June 2009, it was officially announced by Lego that a video game, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 , was produced and released in June 2010. Lego Harry Potter: Year 5 7 was released in November 2011.
Warner Bros. and Lego announced on February 12, 2010 that six sets including Hogwarts Castle, Hagrid's Hut, The Burrow, Hogwarts Express, Dobby's Release and Quidditch Match will be released in October 2010. The set features newly-decorated mini-figures and animals. including Luna Lovegood, Bellatrix Lestrange, new owls and new pigs. Also announced is the Lego Harry Potter board game available in August. In 2013, The LEGO Group officially halted the Harry Potter Lego set. However, the additional Lego Dimensions package featuring Harry Potter and Voldemort is scheduled to be released on September 27, 2016.
In 2018 it was announced that more sets based on the Harry Potter Universe will be released, starting with a set based on Great Hall.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001-2002) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001 - 2002 )
The first film (titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States) looks at the largest set number, with a total of fourteen being made. Initially, only eleven were produced, but three more were released next year.

Lego revived the Harry Potter theme after three years of gap from the previous set released in 2007. The new set was released October 1, 2010 in the UK. All sets are a remake of the previous one with the exception of a new set, The Burrow, which is based on scenes from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
2011
Lego released four major sets in 2011. Diagon Alley was released in January, while the other three sets were released on June 1, 2011, around the time of the release of the Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows - Part 2. However, Troli, The Lab and Mini Hogwarts Express are all set promotions released in different countries at different times, either supplied with newspaper offerings, purchase of Diagon Alley from Lego Shop and also with pre-order of the game, Lego Harry Potter: Year 5-7.

Lego has produced Harry Potter -the Lego Dimensions "team package" with a release date scheduled for September 27, 2016 in the United States. This add-on package includes minifigs of Harry Potter and Voldemort which are mostly similar to the 2010/2011 version. The main differences include different styles for Harry Potter and the brown stick, not the white ones for Voldemort. The add-on package also includes a small version of the Weasley flying car and the Hogwarts Express machine. The additional "fun pack" featuring Hermione Granger is also currently planned for release later on. The add-on package is based on Fantastic Beasts & amp; Where Find Them is set for a movie release on November 18, 2016; this includes a "story package" containing Newt Scamander, Niffler and MACUSA models, and an "exciting package" containing Tina Goldstein and a Swooping Evil.
Secondary Revival Series (2018)
More sets of Harry Potter will be released in 2018, including a set based on Great Hall in the first two films; and sets based on the movie "Fantastic Beasts".
Video game
In June 2009, it was officially announced by Lego that a video game, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 , was produced and released in June 2010. Lego Harry Potter: Year 5 7 was released in November 2011. This video game was released for PlayStation 4 on October 21, 2016, as part of the Lego Harry Potter Collection .
