Flintstones Chewable Vitamins is an additional multivitamin for children based on the animated sitcom The Flintstones . They were introduced in 1968 by Miles Laboratories and tasted like candy. Miles Laboratories was acquired by Bayer in 1979.
Vitamin is one of the most successful Flintstones products. Some ads have been under heavy rotation without being associated with The Flintstones . Jingle/their tagline, "We are Kids of Flintstones, Ten Million Strong and Growing..." (Music by Martin O'Donnell, lyrics by Jim Morris, AKA Tagline Jim), has achieved fame through heavy advertising circulation.
Vitamins can be purchased at pharmacies, grocery stores, and on the Internet. They feature pills in the following characters: Fred Flintstone, Wilma Flintstone, Flintstone Pebbles, Barney Rubble, Betty Rubble, Bamm-Bamm Rubble, Dino, and The Great Gazoo. For more than twenty years, Betty was not included as one of the vitamins. However, after grassroots campaigns and phone poll results support Bayer including Betty, the character was added to the lineup in 1995, replacing the Flintstone car. Betty's Not a Vitamin rock band was named after this situation, but their first album was released in 2007, shortly after Betty added.

Flintstones Complete
Flintstones Complete comes in three forms: chew, gummy and gummy acid.
It is designed for children aged 2 years and older. Flintstones Complete has iron supplementation, iodine, vitamin D and vitamin E. High vitamin D is needed for the maintenance and growth of bone in children. Vitamin D deficiency is a concern for infants, especially in the northern hemisphere. This is because babies often have very limited exposure to sunlight, which is a major source of endogenous Vitamin D production. Vitamin D deficiency can cause rickets, a disease in which bones become soft and supple. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant in the body. Vitamin E deficiency leads to neuromuscular, vascular and reproductive disorders.
Flintstones Complete chewing form contains more vitamins and minerals than the gummy version. The chewing form, unlike the gummy version, contains: Vitamin B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, Calcium, Iron, Copper, and Selenium.
Flintstones with Iron
Flintstones with Iron has a vitamin profile similar to the gummy version of Flintstones Complete. Iron content meets 75% of Iron Daily Value for children over 2 years.
Flintstones Plus Immunity Support
Immune support Flintstones Plus has the same vitamin profile as the gummy version of Flintstones Complete. However, Immune Support Flintstones Plus provides 250 mg of Vitamin C, which far exceeds the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for children. RDA of vitamin C for children 1-3 years is 15 mg; 4 - 8 years is 25 mg; The age of 9-14 years is 45 mg. The dosage of Vitamin C in one tablet of Flintstones Plus Immunity Support Vitamin C is still below the tolerable upper intake level (UL). UL for children 1-3 years is 400 mg; Age 4-8 years is 650 mg; The age of 9-11 years is 1200mg. Parents should not give their child more than the recommended dose of Flintstones Plus Immune Support as they can easily surpass their child's UL for vitamin C. This can cause adverse effects, such as diarrhea and kidney stones.
