Baygon is a pesticide brand manufactured by S. C. Johnson & amp; Son. These are insecticides used for the destruction and control of household pests such as crickets, cockroaches, ants, carpenter ants, spiders, moths, and mosquitoes. In 1975, Baygon introduced Australia's first surface spray to kill cockroaches and other creeping insects.
Baygon was introduced by the German chemicals manufacturer Bayer in 1975. In 2003, Bayer sold the brand to S. C. Johnson & Son. As part of the agreement, the active ingredients used in pesticides are still manufactured by Bayer and given non-exclusively to SC Johnson.

Composition
The baygon product contains cyfluthrin pyretroid, transfluthrin, prallethrin and propoxur carbamate and organophosphorus chlorpyrifos, as the active ingredient. In concentrations used in consumer product insecticides, pyrethroid also has insect repellent properties and is generally harmless to humans in low doses but can harm sensitive individuals. If digested in sufficient quantities, they can cause various adverse effects, including tremor, dyspnea, and paralysis.
The "biocide" active ingredient in Baygon, Prallethrin, which is considered effective as a mosquito repellent, has been characterized by WHO and in other studies, as "highly toxic" in honey and fish bees.
