Windows Vista Magazine has a tutorial on converting video files with software for viewing on PSP in April 2007 edition. The software was also reviewed in 2008 by MacLife for its ability to convert files for viewing on iPod.
The free version of AVC is supported by ads. Although it does not seem to contain malware, the Windows installer does not by default incorporate potentially unwanted programs (PUP) such as virus scanners and/or toolbars. However, users can avoid installing this PUP by selecting the Customize Install option and not accepting recommended optional software installations.
