A paid or inconclusive survey is a type of statistical survey in which participants/members are rewarded through an incentive program, generally entering a lottery or prize money program, to complete one or more surveys.

Details
Paid surveys are used to collect quantitative information about participants' personal and economic habits set against their specific demographics.
Legitimate surveys are usually not paid (as with Gallup polls) or incentives. Surveys in which respondents have to pay or buy products to join a panel are generally fraudulent, such as missing sites before paying participants. Legitimate surveys do not require credit card information from respondents.
When a research company needs respondents from demographics that they can not achieve, they can easily reach panels around the world or specifically. By offering cash incentives to respondents in exchange for feedback, these companies can quickly fill in quotas and collect information that clients are looking for.
