AirPods is a wireless Bluetooth earbud created by Apple Inc.
They display new user interactions; for example, removing AirPod from a person's ear causes playback to pause and vice versa, and double-tap they can enable Siri, or play or pause playback. For full functionality, AirPods requires devices running on iOS at least 10.2, macOS Sierra or watchOS 3. They automatically sync through iCloud so users can switch to other supported devices that go to the same Apple ID. They can also play audio from any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, including Android devices (which can use tap two to control playback).

Histori
AirPods was introduced on September 7, 2016 along with iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2. Initially Apple was planning to release AirPods in late October, but the company delayed the release date. On December 13, 2016, Apple released AirPods to be ordered online. They are available at Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers, and selected operators on December 20th.
Since the release of iOS 10.3, users have been able to find the missing AirPod by triggering ring noise through the "Discover My iPhone" app.
At Apple's Special Event 2017, Apple teases an optional wireless battery charging case called AirPower. However, this will not be released until an unspecified date in 2018.

Specifications
Hardware
Apple includes their own specially designed chip, W1, to AirPods, which helps optimize battery usage and process Bluetooth and audio connections.
Each AirPod weighs 0.14 oz (4 g), and its filling casing weighs 1.34 oz (38 g). It holds a charge for about five hours, and the charging case can be charged up to 24 hours of use. During disassembly, each AirPod was found to contain 93 milliwatt hours of battery in its trunk, while the filling case was found to contain 1.52 watt hours or 398 mAh on 3.81 V batteries.
Software
AirPods contains upgraded firmware. The original firmware is 3.3.1. In February 2017, Apple released 3.5.1, and then 3.7.2 in May 2017.
Criticism
One criticism of AirPods is their high price; however, at launch, prices are actually cheaper than most "real" wireless speakers in the market (eg Samsung Icon X and Bragi Dash) and stay in competitive price with similar products from other major brands. Another criticism is the perceived tendency to fall from one's ear; However, testing by Business Insider shows that it is highly unlikely that this happens during normal use for most types of ears.
Another prominent criticism is the problem that causes battery charging to run out at a fast rate even if AirPods is not used. Users report up to 30% empty debit per day. Apple later upgraded the firmware AirPods to 3.5.1, available to all users, addressing connectivity and battery disposal issues.
